Underwood Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is one of the perfect wines for Thanksgiving.  It matches an earthy, spiced, light, and fruity red, with just enough tannin to compliment to everything on the table.  Thanks to the lower amount of alcohol, and lighter tannins it also makes a perfect way to keep most guests pleased.  Still, as we’ve proven multiple times, finding good, cheap Pinot Noir is harder than getting elected. Underwood Pinot Noir comes in a can, like good old beer, so can it reduce the cost while improving the festivities?

Sight:  A pale ruby that’s transparent end to end.

Smell:  Cherries with hints of mushrooms and chocolate come together with spices.  There’s a good vibrancy to the wine, pulling in currant and cranberry.  Touches of green come in.

Sip:  The body is thin, and vibrant, with huge flavors of red cherry, currants, and touches of spice.  The wine dances across the palate with mushrooms, cranberries, and hints of potpourri.

Savor:  The ending is light, vibrant, and mixes cherries, spice, and a hint of earth.

Underwood Pinot Noir is vibrantly red with lots of character.  There’s a little bit of anemia in the body and the mid palate, but overall the cranberries, red cherries, and currants make things delicious.  A good amount of potpourri and vanilla adds a good complexity.  Underwood Pinot Noir is tasty, if not perfect.
