Chateau Lary Sauvignon 2014 Bottle

Most people named Lary, tend to use another r when they spell.  For example, Larry King, Larry David, Larry Flynt, and Larry Bird all use a second r.  This Chateau however, doesn’t have that second r.   Does this mean that Chateau Lary Sauvignon 2014 is lacking quality, or they just can’t spell?

Chateau Lary Sauvignon 2014

Sight:  A lighter shade of gold, with a straw like color.

Smell:  A subtle limestone note leads things, off before getting slightly green.   Touches of gooseberry come through, and are imparted with lime and herbs.

Sip:   Bright, with plenty of lime and gooseberry right off the front.  Green apple comes into play, adding to the crispness, and subtle amounts of herbs, minerality, and bell pepper.

Savor:  The ending is just as bright, pulling in grapefruit and gooseberry.

Chateau Lary Sauvignon is an old world example of Sauvignon Blanc, complete with the minerality. The bright gooseberries come through well, with good pops of lime. The herbal notes are present without being overwhelming. Overall, Chateau Lary Sauvignon is a good example of white Bordeaux at a cheap price.
