Dominios del Dueño Tempranillo Rosado 2015

Dominios del Dueno Trempranillo Rosado 2015 Bottle

Moving from one leading varietal in Spain, garnacha, to another, tempranillo, we have Dominos del Dueño Tempranillo Rosado.  Does Tempranillo deliver a killer rosé experience for the summer?

Dominios del Dueno Trempranillo Rosado 2015

Sight:  A rosy hue, with a slightly orange bent.

Smell:  A pop of sour cherry jumps out, with a lot of beautiful spice and raspberry elements.  The cherry element is almost like that of a bourbon soaked cherry.   The nose is more complex, with hints of orange and strawberries.

Sip:  The body is light, bright, and slightly textured.   There’s a wonderful amount of cherry and strawberry right off the bat,  touches of spice, macerated fruit, and orange zest all come to play.  The body is deeper than it originally appears, and dry.

Savor:  The ending continues strong elements of sour cherries and strawberries, and lingers for a refreshing period.

Dominios del Dueño Tempranillo Rosado is perhaps the best rosé I’ve had in the last year.  The sour cherry notes are clean, crisp, well defined, and well complimented with plenty of other fruit flavors.    It’s easy to drink, cheap, and delicious.   If you happen to be picking up a rosé or love the pink stuff, grab a bottle of Dominios del Dueño Tempranillo Rosado for an amazing experience.
